Sing for your Self

Welcome to our Sing for your Self website. We’re glad you’ve found us! Sing for your Self are local fun singing groups for enjoyment, laughter and friendship, as well as all the physical and mental health benefits of singing. Serving the Wokingham area, our inclusive groups gather together for the sheer joy of singing well known songs together, without the pressures of singing perfection or public performance…

…because you don’t have to be a great singer for singing to be great for you!

Groups are led by fun-loving Soph, a singer and teacher of 30 years experience. With enthusiasm and a welcoming nature, Soph creates an atmosphere of trust, inclusion and friendship, where everyone can relax, sing out and feel uplifted, whatever their confidence or ability levels may be.

INCLUSIVITY

Our groups are fully inclusive to all adults. Please see our Community Sessions page for some of the Inclusivity Measures we have taken. This includes an Enlarged Text folder which is available at all sessions upon request. All our venues are fully wheelchair accessible, have Disabled Toilets available and welcome Assistance Dogs. All our daytime sessions have good public transport links, too. Dementia sufferers are welcomed, along with carers if needed. There is a Pay It Forward scheme available for anyone experiencing financial difficulties who wishes to attend.

If there is ever anything you feel we can do to assist your inclusion in a session, please do let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate this.

Our 2024 Summer Special, held at Winnersh Community Hall in Sindlesham, where nearly 120 of us gathered to sing, raising £384 for The Link Visiting Scheme.
